3. SMS Terms of Service

Mike Walsh Painting and Decorating LLC ("we," "us," "our") offers an SMS text messaging program to communicate with customers and prospective customers who opt in through our website form or another approved method.
Program description: Messages may include estimate follow-ups, appointment reminders, project status updates, and occasional promotional offers or seasonal specials.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your project and communication with us.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from us. You'll receive one final message confirming your opt-out.

4. Estimates and Contracts

Any quotes or estimates provided through the website or via direct communication are subject to change upon a full property assessment.
A formal contract outlining the scope of work, payment terms, and timelines will be provided and must be signed before any work begins.

5. Payments

Payment terms will be clearly stated in your contract. We may require a deposit before work commences, with the balance due upon project completion.
Late payments may incur additional charges as specified in the contract.

6. Rescheduling

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a service, please notify us as soon as possible.
Reschedules made within 14 days of the scheduled start date may be subject to a reschedule fee.

7. Warranties and Satisfaction Guarantee

We always stand behind our workmanship. The no-questions, accidental-damage coverage is reserved for owner-occupied homes of clients we have a relationship with.

The terms

For the original owner of an owner-occupied home (primary or second/seasonal residence):

Workmanship and material defects covered for 3 years from completion.
No-questions coverage on accidental damage to the finished work — including owner- or household-caused damage (pet scratches, scuffs, knocks).
One call to us and we handle it. No deductibles, no claim forms, no inspections to "prove" fault.

If you sell your home within the 3 years (transfer to a new owner):

The new owner is covered for the remainder of the original term — not a fresh three years.
Transferred coverage is for workmanship and material defects only. We stand behind the quality of the work we did. The no-questions accidental-damage coverage does not transfer.
To activate, the new owner registers the guarantee with us within 30 days of purchase.

Rental, investment, and tenant-occupied properties:

We're glad to paint them, and we stand behind our workmanship and materials the same way we do everywhere.
The no-questions, accidental-damage coverage does not apply to rental, investment, or tenant-occupied properties. That coverage is reserved for owner-occupied homes.

Not covered (any property):

Normal wear, fading, or aging of the finish over time.
Damage from structural, moisture, or settling issues beyond the scope of our work.
Alterations, repairs, or coatings applied by others after we complete the project.
Decks are not guaranteed past the final walk-through approval.

Project Adjustments

Sometimes project needs change once work begins. If you'd like to add work beyond this scope, here's how we handle it:

We'll provide a written description of the additional work and cost
You approve it in writing before we proceed
No additional work begins without your authorization

No surprises. No "while we're here" charges you didn't agree to.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for perfection, we are not responsible for:

Pre-existing structural issues or damage to your property.
Delays caused by events beyond our control, such as weather or supply chain disruptions.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Mike Walsh Painting and Decorating. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without written permission.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of these sites and are not responsible for any interactions you have with them.
